Biography

Luc van Doorslaer (PhD) is a lecturer and researcher in Translation Studies and Journalism Studies at Lessius University College in Antwerp (Belgium). He is also a staff member of CETRA, the Centre for Translation Studies at the University of Leuven (Belgium). Together with Yves Gambier, he is the editor of the online Translation Studies Bibliography (Benjamins, Amsterdam). He also co-edited the special issue of Target on 'The Metalanguage of Translation' (2007/2). He is a board member of ITCN, the International Translation & Censorship Network. His main research interests are: ideology and translation, media and translation, bibliographies of translation. He also works as a journalist for Dutch speaking Belgian television.
